A New Home For The Saturday Afternoon Blues Matinee The Bar Upstairs

The Mighty Duck Blues Band is extremely pleased to move into the second half of year nine riding on a vote of confidence by our fans and supporters.  The verdict is in, audience and guest performers love the new surroundings.  This positive feedback will energize and inspire MDBB to continue developing the popular blues series, adding new guest artists to the stellar lineup of long time favorites and raising the musical bar week after week.  Spread the news, The Bar Upstairs has been added to the list of important Niagara region live music venues.  

We are excited to be a part of this bands growing audience and their strong ties to the community. The Mighty Duck Blues Band`s Saturday Afternoon Matinee will live on with a supportive new home.   All of the fabulous special guest performers that have been appearing with them will be back along with the band`s tradition of opening their stage to newcomers on the way up.

There is a stellar line up of guest artists booked for the 2017 series with appearances by Juno & Maple Blues Awards winners, as well as long time favourites. Canada's best blues musicians and singers make the journey to St. Catharines to take part! It is the place to be on a Saturday afternoon!

The Mighty Duck Blues Band , Dave Curry guitar/vocals, Canada Dave Torosian keyboards, Jim Casson drums/vocals and Gary Kendall bass/vocals will return for their 9th year on Sat.Sept.24th, 2:30pm-6:30pm to The Bar Upstairs with Downchild`s Chuck Jackson and Pat Carey.  The full schedule of special guests will be announced soon!

 It`s become a St.Catharines tradition to launch this series on Grape & Wine weekend so mark them both on your entertainment calendar.
